Controlling Your Mouth

Okay so I was on my way to work today and I'm sitting on the bus playing with my phone when two females sitting across from me started talking. Not only were they talking VERY loudly but one of them was smacking on some gum. This irritated me to the point where I had to write a blog about it. Smacking and popping loudly on gum is the WORST noise in the world to me. Besides this, they were cussing and telling ALL of their business to the entire bus. My point is that this is NOT cute ladies. Men DO NOT find it attractive at all. You know what they say: "It is better to be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." As cliche as this is, it's the truth. And you never know who's watching you. You might be around a potential employer or something and you start talking like that and cussing all over the place and BOOM!....job opportunity out the window because you couldn't figure out how to control your mouth. Another thing is that while these ladies were talking, there were a couple of older women sitting in the front. This a major problem today. If you are the type of person that likes to use profanity loud and out in the open, at least have enough respect for your elders not to do it in front of them. Besides the fact that this is an enormous display of ignorance, God doesn't like it. It's hard to stop using those convenient little words, I know, I'm still struggling with it too. But in public places at least, try to calm it down. That is all.

My Recepie

I was experimenting with some stuff a couple of weeks ago and I came across the awesome concoction. It's REALLY simple, but super delicious. All of the measurements are just ballpark figures from what I did on my own so you can add more or less to your taste. It should take about 30-45 minutes from start to finish....I think, lol

Mexican Baked Ziti....or Rigatoni, lol
What you'll need:

1 box of Ziti or Rigatoni pasta
1 can of yellow corn
1 can of black beans
2 tbs. Chili powder
1 tbs. Onion powder
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
Add Salt and/or Season Salt to taste
Ground Cayenne Red Pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. black pepper (optional)
8oz pkg. of Mexican style shredded cheese
2 tbs. Goya Sofrito tomato cooking base
Sliced Kraft American cheese
13x9 in. baking pan

1. Cook pasta until tender

2. In a large pan mix together corn and black beans. Add seasonings to mixture.

3. After pasta is cooked, pre-heat oven to 350ยบ and pour corn, black beans, and pasta into the pan.

4. lightly sprinkle shredded cheese over mixture, then add a few slices of sliced cheese on the top.

5. Cover with foil and bake for about fifteen minutes or until cheese has melted.

Hope I made this clear enough for you. I hope you enjoy it!

What? Picnics in Heaven?

Yep, picnics in Heaven. I've listened to a few opinions from some people and I've talked to God, and I've come to this conclusion...fear is NOT going to hold me back anymore! Many people that know me know what I was most afraid of in the world...dying. I've recently come to terms with this. It's going to happen and there's nothing I can do about it. But if I continue to live right, and keep doing God's will then i have nothing to fear....nothing at all. Man can't do anything to harm me because God is with me. So when the time comes and He decides my earthly life is over, then I will rejoice at the fact that I'm leaving this earth to go and have picnics in Heaven. Because picnics on earth just aren't cool anymore. Ants and bugs crawling every where, grass making you itch...seriously, when was the last time you or anyone you know had a picnic? Lol, or maybe I'm just the only person I know who doesn't do that anymore. Whatever the case may be, when Jesus comes back (and He's coming soon) I'm gonna be glad to go and be bathed in His glorious light. So get on the right path and follow God. Make sure you know where you're gonna spend eternity. Because burning forever in a lake of fire is NOT my idea of a good time. We all have work to do. I've finally overcome my fear and now I can move on to my other imperfections. Stop being so judgmental of everyone else. Look at yourself first. You're not perfect either. I say this to myself as well. We've all still got a long way to go but I believe that we can get there. Let's start with this:

1. Before you go to bed at night, read a bible verse. At least one, even if it's just "Jesus wept.", lol

2. During the day, ask yourself, "Did I judge anyone unfairly or to hastily today?" and if so, repent to God for  it. He will forgive you.

3. Try the very best you can to disregard mean, evil, and stupid things people might say to you. God is gonna hold us accountable for everything we say so be careful and think before you speak.

4. Take things slowly. Coming back to church and living a good, Holy life isn't an overnight process. It's a lifetime thing that takes dedication, and renewing the mind. Don't worry if you mess up. Get back up, repent, and get back on the path.

5. Being Christian doesn't mean you can look down on other people and critize their faults, so make sure you're still being humble.

6. Move foward, don't look back, stay on the path, and don't give up! It's a wonderful feeling when you're completely free.

7. Try to remmeber to give thanks to God for everything. This is His will for our lives. Be grateful to Him, even if it's just saying a blessing before you eat a meal.

8. On Sundays, try to listen to nothing but Gospel for at least an hour. It makes a difference.

Even if you forget to do some of these things it's okay. Just do one or two to start with. God wants you to come to Him because He loves you no matter what your situation. Don't ever think that He doesn't. I hope that this helps some people and if you try it let me know how it goes for you.
